Two Thousand & Fifteen
Professional Female Photographer on the Gold Coast
What a huge year 2015 has been as it rushed past and i tried to keep up. :D
Moving to a new city and settling my family into the new photographer on the Gold Coast lifestyle was the priority in the 1st half. Then having to do with a makeshift photo studio in the garage, i created some works that in reflection touched on some deep emotional connection. Mother earth & inner demons both scored well in the National AIPP awards and I earned my Associate Ribbon in 2 short years, which i am incredibly proud of.
I was also honoured to be voted to sit on the QLD Council of the AIPP and able to represent my fellow photographers and host some fun events as well as being the SE QLD Co-Ordinator for the WWII Veterans Reflections Volunteer project, where we have successfully photographed over 7000 of Australia's Hero's. Stay tuned as we collate the book and present it to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra to sit in the National Archives in AustralianHistory. This project has enriched my life in ways that i would never have imaged.
In late October i found my dream Studio location in a warehouse in Burleigh Heads and am now the proud owner of Studio Fascino. It was many weeks of scrubbing, painting, styling and organising to have it open and i am so excited to see what this space can bring in the way of all things creative for 2016. I have workshops, meet-ups, seminars & creative collaborations planned. :D
For those who have continued to follow my photographer on the Gold Coast journey, i have two humble words. Thank you. Your interaction, likes, shares and words of encouragement mean so very much to me as i strive to bring beauty, love and light into the world.
Have a wonderful New Years Celebration, and i look forward to seeing you and hearing of your successes in the coming year.
Much love, Megan xx
